The medium tension Aquila 7B Supernylgut Minstrel Banjo strings offer a stronger more durable formulation of Aquila's Nylgut for protection against nicks and cuts from the sharp edges of nuts and saddles and aggressive playing. The set includes a silverplated copper wound on Nylgut multi-filament core G string. The maintain intonation to a much greater degree. Along with a superb new look these great sounding, pearl-colored strings have a very smooth polished surface that reduces unwanted noise and is great to the touch.

This set is longer (about 51") and heavier than the Classical set

Strings are roughly .0275, .0325, .0390, .0280w, and .0275 inches in diameter

Intended for lower tunings, not likely to survive being brought up to standard G tuning
