Born in 1919, in Gladbeck, Westphalia, Germany. Eugene Schmidt started his professional schooling in 1934. His teacher had a Master's Degree from The Academy of
Fine Arts in Munich, Germany. He also attended schools for Art History, Stylistic Arts, and Perspective Drawing.
He worked in Germany; Italy; Montreal, Canada; and now in Santa Barbara, California.
His paintings are hanging in private collections in every State of the Union, all over Canada, both Germanys, France, Italy, Spain, Austria. Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands Belgium, Britain, Greece, Yugoslavia, Israel, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Iran, Lebanon and the Philippines.
