The starter is an important device in the generator, generally will not easily fail, but in order to use for a long time, in the daily use of the starter should pay attention to the

maintenance work.In the daily maintenance of the vehicle, the starter should be the following inspection, repair and maintenance.

1. The tightening torque of the starter bolt is 60N-M.

2. If the brush spring becomes soft or broken, it should be replaced with new parts.

3. If the moving lever is bent, it should be corrected.

4. If the driving spring is broken, it should be replaced with a new one, and if the thread of the spring device is loose, it should be tightened.

5. If the switch contact is bad, use a fine emery cloth to polish, if the spring or insulator is bad, it should be replaced in time.

6. If there is dirt blockage between the casing and the driving gear, scrub it clean and add several drops of machine oil at the same time.

7. Each line connector must be screwed tightly, should always keep clean and dry, if the wire is found to be damaged, can be wrapped with adhesive tape.

8. Suction iron type mobile lever out of adjustment, can remove the suction iron switch, rotate the lever and cylinder linkage adjustment.

9. The rectifier should be cleaned regularly according to the regulations, if there is dirt, use a clean cloth dipped in gasoline to wipe, but the power must be cut off.

10. When starting the engine, the current drawn by the starter from the battery is about 300-400A, so in order to avoid excessive discharge and damage to the battery, the

starter should not take too long to start, about 5s or less. If you can't start it once, stop it for a little time (10-15s) and start it again. If the starter does not start more than 3

times in a row, it should be started again after finding out the reason.

The starter is set up to start the engine and turn the crankshaft by starting it. The starter works under the environment of high current and high power, so it is very

necessary to maintain it properly.

Note: This starter fits Automatic vehicles only.

How to Replace Starter Motor
The starter motor in a vehicle runs off electrical power supplied by the battery. Its purpose is to push a spinning gear into the flywheel to engage the crankshaft. The spinning
crankshaft will set the engine in motion. Once the starter goes bad, the starter will not be able to convert the electrical energy to mechanical energy. Replacing the faulty
starter motor will be neccessary.

Tips & Warnings
Once the starter is out of the car, take it to the automotive-parts store to be bench tested. This will tell you if the starter is good or bad.
Use caution when working with electrical components. Ensure the battery is isolated.
