Coilovers Damper Set Adjustable For Holden Commodore VT VU VX VY Petrol 1997-07
The dampers are not used to support the weight of the body but to suppress the shock and absorb the energy of the road impact when the springs rebound after absorbing the shock. If you have driven a car with broken dampers, you can experience the aftershock bounce of the car through every pothole and undulation, and the shocks are used to suppress such bounce. Without shocks, you will not be able to control the spring bounce, and the car will have severe bouncing when encountering rough roads, and will lose tire grip and traction when cornering because of the up and down vibration of the springs. The ideal situation is to use dampers to limit the spring bounce to once.
