This is a vintage or antique lightly used, hand held kitchen utensil.  This is a tin nutmeg or spice grater, and has a hinged lift lid at top to store nutmegs.  Grater is 6-1/4" in length.   It may need light cleaning, and shows some age and use wear.  There are no off odors.
