Listed is a piece of vintage one-sided fabric unpicked from a Japanese Kimono for female kids.
The material is unknown, but it looks like rayon.
It has a soft, cotton-like texture.
The fabric measures about 146 cm (57.5 inches) in length, and 33 cm (13 inches) in width.
The weight is about 60 g.
Please note:
The actual red color may NOT be as orangish as it appears in the photos.
The actual colors may NOT be as deep as they appear in the photos.
I think the colors of Photo 2 are close to the actual ones compared to the other photos.
The fabric is in vintage/used condition with many blemishes:
A bit worn in general
Several pin-sized holes (Photo 5)
Long, dark line in the center (Photo 6)
Thin flaws due to threads pulled out (Photo 9)
Small tear on the edge (Photo 7)
Tiny spots (Photo 8)
Minor weaving imperfections (Photo 10)
Wrinkles and fold lines
I think the item still looks good.
The fabric has a pattern of red clouds on a very pale yellow back ground.
It also has a pattern of many Japanese traditional motifs such as spools, treasury carts, fans and bouquets with various flowers.
The top and bottom edges are raw.
The last photo shows the backside.
