Description

This gorgeous mid-century pattern was produced by Paden City in the 1940s-1950s. The large, detailed pink orchid at the center includes leaves and looks like an airbrushed design. The pieces in the pattern have a hand painted 22 karat gold rim. If you have a Florida room where you eat breakfast or lunch these pieces will be a beginning of your collection for a full service. Imagine them displayed in a china hutch against a wall. I think these are the quintessential tropical floral designed dishware.

I'm offering 13 pieces here in this listing, more on other listings. This lot is for 5 cups and 8 saucers. One cup has a spider crack but it still holds fluid. The spider crack is discolored and goes all the way through the piece. I've shown a picture of the inside of this one cup and the outside as well. I have eight saucers. The saucers measure 6" in diameter. Of the eight saucers, 6 are excellent and two show some wear to the pattern where the bottom of the cup rested. There is an orchid on the inside and the outside of the cup. The cups are also rimmed in gold on the outside.

These have a nice, low and wide mid-century modern profile. Women would hold coffee parties so the cups were most often used for coffee instead of tea.

These will be shipped in a single box with packing peanuts or other space padding and bubble wrap around each piece. I use USPS Priority.
