Grey-brown covers of heavy paper with 2-staple binding, staples have only small amount of darkening on outside, a bit more inside; staples very tight and apparently were clamped too tightly as the middle pages, 1 sheet/4 printed pages, have come loose at the staples, this sheet is still in booklet and entire booklet could be restapled.  Covers with only slight soil, there is 1/2" wide band of exposure tanning on both sides of spine, not distracting or dark in color. Edges with slight wear, tips slight wear, spine ends have slight bump or wear. Back cover shows 3" long, shallow surface crease from bottom upward to spine, this shallow crease also shows on almost all pages with front pages just barely affected. Pages at back have couple of small, round shallow creasings within the other, above-noted crease; creases are not distracting and no text is involved. Covers are tight on staples; book measures 4.25 x 7.0".

Book consists of 40 pages with Contents on page 5 listing 32 poems by well-known authors, see photo for Contents. Most poems are one per page. This booklet is first in a series of 3. There is a nicely written black ink inscription on copyright page, not author's, with date of March 8, 1930. Pages are good weight paper, mid-ivory in color with first and last pages a bit darker. Page 22, which is last page of above-noted middle section, has narrow band of deeper brown along front edge from having been stored; shelved with loose middle section slightly and diagonally extending from text body. Pages are clean and other than middle section are quite tight at staples, few tiny page tip creases.
