1960'S CHRONO WATCHES IN THIS EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION DO NOT COME AROUND VERY OFTEN.

OFFERED AT A SUPERB LOW 'BUY IT NOW' PRICE IS THIS FANTASTIC AND RARE OLLECH & WAJS PRECISION 17 JEWELED BLACK DIAL MILITARY STYLE SKIN DIVER LANDERON 248 2 REGISTER CHRONOGRAPH. 

CASE:

This is a lovely QUALITY chunky 2 piece screw back stainless steel case. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear.The outer bi-directional bezel is in beautiful condition showing minimal wear which is unusual for a watch of this age. The case is marked to the back with various boasts of its quality and Swiss made background. There is an etched scene of a Skin Diver spearing a large fish to the centre with etched waves. There are some micro scratches to the case back. The case back has two sets of numbers. The first is 2002 and the second is 9231. It is also marked 20 ATM. The case back screws on as it should. The inside of the case back is marked 'OLLECH AND WAJS'. It has a nice bright finish to the bezel and lugs This is a lovely original CHRONOGRAPH watch case. The case measures a large 3.9cms (390mm) in diameter excluding the crown and pushers.

DIAL:

This superb watch has the most BEAUTIFUL and STUNNING minty two register BLACK Military style chronograph dial. It is FULLY signed for OLLECH & WAJS. The chrono registers are black with one register having a fantastic red 'flash' to it. The dial also has two excellent ORIGINAL lumed hour and minute hands and the 2 subsidiary dial hands are original and are in good order. The minute hand has a crack in the lume. The stop watch centre second hand has an 'Arrow' tip. The hands show light normal wear. The dial has stunning matching lumed baton numerals.The watch has a sub-second dial at the 9 o'clock position and a 30 minute timer at the 3 o'clock position. This gorgeous dial has two chronograph register chapter rings the centre one which is RED in color. All of the markings are sharp and crisp. The dial is in beautiful condition for its age.

MOVEMENT:

This fantastic chronograph wrist watch has a superb clean LANDERON 248 chronograph 17 jewel manual wind movement fitted. It is in full working order and is running well. The 'tech specs' are: Manual-wind chronograph, 60s, 30min, Dm= 31.0mm, Do= 31.5mm f=18000 A/h, power reserve 41h. All of the pushers work as they should and the centre hand snaps back bang on to twelve. The movement winds and sets smoothly showing no undue wear. It keeps great time as tested over a 24 hour period. The big crown looks original and has only very light wear. The crystal seems to be plastic and is in good condition for its age showing just a few very light normal wear marks. 

BAND:

I have fitted a BRAND NEW brown genuine leather 20mm BLACK band with white stitching to this lovely wristwatch. As it is new, it is in mint condition and has not been worn. It compliments this watch superbly.

Vintage watches cannot keep time like their quartz cousins and will need altering on average between +-2 to +-5 mins per day. They are a little more destructible than modern watches. Vintage watches also require periodic service and cleaning. Every couple of years, they would like their 20,000 mile checkup, oil change, and general service. By taking care of your vintage watch, you will have years of great service, and a quality heirloom to pass to another generation.
