Silk Abaca for Millinery and Hat Making

Silk abaca is a versatile millinery material combining natural abaca fibres with silk to create a lightweight fabric with a refined finish. It is widely used in hat making for its ability to drape, shape and hold soft structure.

Suitable for both structured and flowing designs, silk abaca is ideal for fascinators, trims and lightweight hat styles. It can be dyed or coloured to suit specific design requirements, making it a flexible choice for both professional milliners and beginners.

Sustainably Produced Material

Our silk abaca is produced using sustainable and environmentally responsible methods. We work with small rural communities in the Philippines who grow abaca plants, extract fibres and weave this material using traditional techniques.
