Antique 10-volume set “History of the World” by John Clark Ridpath. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

This is a complete 9-volume set of books chronicling the history of the world through 1894. It also contains a tenth volume, published later, of the major events of “the Great War”, later known as World War I.

This is a very old set of books and is quite fragile. The books have been stored on a bookshelf, much as they’re depicted in the photos, during the ~20 years I have owned them. The material along the spines of some of the books are cracked, with some of them missing pieces of that material. The interior of the books, however, are in very good shape. As far as I know, there are no missing pages and no significant damage has been done to the pages. The tenth volume was printed years after the first nine and is in better shape than the rest.

This is a beautiful collectible for the antique-lover, history-lover, or both.
