*** WE'RE HAVING A COKIN EVENT ***  as we have too many Cokin filters in stock !

Cokin is the filter system that really needs no introduction; their World-beating, award-winning Creative Filter System was invented by photographer Jean Coquin, introduced in 1978.

Based primarily around square filters which require a holder which is attached to the lens via a simple adapter ring of the appropriate size. Unlike screw-thread circular filters, which are each tied to lenses of a specific diameter, those in the system can be used with any lens, provided they are large enough to cover the front element or wider focal length sufficiently.

The full system includes an amazingly wide range of filters including color correction, plain and coloured graduated filters, diffraction, diffusion and polarising, some made from optical glass, most made from CR-39 polymer, often described as "organic glass".

Cokin produce THREE different-sized versions of their Creative Filter System:

 - A Series:
the original, smallest size is "A" (67mm wide), ideal for most 35mm & digital camera system lenses of standard focal lengths

 - P Series:  the larger "P" (84mm wide) system covers where "A" filters are too small to cover the lens, or for use with wider angle lenses.

 - X-Pro Series:  the largest is the "X-Pro" size (130mm wide) for medium & larger format professional camera systems

Centre spot filters accentuate and highlight your central focus. For the full spot effect stop down as far as the light conditions allow. The smaller the aperture the more defined the spot effect becomes, also wide angle lenses will make the centre spot small and distinct, telephoto lenses will create the opposite effect.

This filter has a clear centre and is oval in shape and Ideal for portraits, the rest of the filter is Blue giving a pleasing blue hue around your subject.
