This fine Makie lacquered box is a stunning example of Japanese craftsmanship. It is dated to the  late Edo period, early 19th century, and is in fine condition, with some minor abrasions and chips due to its age.

The box is made of lacquer and is decorated with a beautiful  flower Makie design. Makie is a traditional Japanese lacquering technique that involves applying multiple layers of lacquer and then decorating the surface with gold powders. 

Some minor abrasions  due to the age .Chips and wears on lacquer due to the age and usage.
