this vs that is the witty game of contrasting thoughts and contrasting strategies. Two brainstorming teams race to create a list of 5 things that fit one of two contrasting categories--then try to guess what the other team wrote!

THIS IS HOW IT STARTS

Teams sit on opposite sides of the game unit Contrasting categories scroll across the viewing screen like THINGS THAT ARE HOT VS THINGS THAT ARE COLD. If the starting team picks HOT, the other team gets COLD. The timers are started and both teams write down a list of 5 things that fit their category. The HOT Team might choose something like "lava" or "chili peppers Team COLD might go for ice cubes" or the less-expected mother-in-law. The instant all 5 are written down, teams stop their timers.

THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING

Now things really heat up. Teams swap lists and a member of each team tries to get his or her teammates to guess the listed items-using hints, band gestures, even sound effects. Each correct guess before time runs out scores 1 point

Here's the catch... the time it took for one team to come up with their list is exactly how long the other team gets to guess... and vice-versa!

Winning depends upon your ability to out-race and out-wit the other team... and that may be easier said than done!
