Potalaworld
Since 1975 we have sold to auction houses, shops and antiques dealers; now, through the miracle of the Internet we sell directly to the consumer. We spend a large part of every year in Asia and have personally selected every item that we sell. Our particular interest is in Tibet and things Tibetan and we will stand behind the authenticity of everything that we sell. |

ANTIQUE NEPALESE WATER PIPE
This is a 19th century Nepalese water pipe, hookah, with three lions on the base, a dog where the pipe goes in, & ferns round the side. It clearly belonged to someone of wealth as this would be a one of a kind piece. The wooden pipe is I think rose wood, & is inlaid with mother of pearl. The base is brass & measures 6" in diameter by 7" tall, with the pipe & the terracotta bowl measures 21 1/2" tall.. It requires a wooden or rubber pipe to go where the dog is so you can have a nice smoke. The base is over 4lbs.
