 The khlui is a vertical duct flute from Thailand. Originated before or during the Sukhothai period (1238-1583AD) along with many other Thai instruments. But, it was officially recorded as a Thai instrument by king Trailokkanat (1431-1488), who sets the official model of the instruments. It is a reedless instrument, generally made of bamboo, though instruments are also made from hardwood or plastic. After many generations of modifications, it survives to the present day as the khlui phiang aw.

 The Thai Khlui keeps its beauty and look since its ancient times. With a long history, the instrument had been modified to be used in other occasions, making new types of Khlui that was invented. The Thai Khlui usually Handcraft by Bamboo which is a local

Tropical tree in Thailand, and make the body beautiful art by short time heat on the stove top.

 How to Playing:

1. Hold by two hand, all holes are on the top.

2. Place your mouth on the mouth piece.

3. Place both Thumb under.

4. Place four fingers both hands on all holes top.

5. Blow your mouth and close or open each four finger to make the music key.

 Item Care:

1. Keep in clean and dry place.

2.Wipe with soft cloth.

3. Occasional use of mineral oil on the outside will help maintain its appearance.

4. Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave or refrigerator. Extreme changes in

    temperature will cause the material to crack over time.
