A Century of the Awake! Magazine
October 1, 2019, marks the 100-year anniversary of the Awake! magazine. With over 280 million copies published annually in 211 languages, it is one of the most widely translated and distributed magazines in the world, second only to The Watchtower.
Jehovah’s Witnesses initially announced the publication of The Golden Age—the magazine’s first title—during a landmark convention in Cedar Point, Ohio, U.S.A., in September 1919. In 1937, the name of the magazine was changed to Consolation to highlight people’s need for comfort. Finally, in 1946, the magazine was renamed Awake! to emphasize that readers should be aware of the spiritual significance of the times.

This Golden Age is in FAIR to VERY NICE condition. PLEASE NOTE: It is missing the back cover - so I am including a facsimile of what it would have looked like. The paper is not brittle. There is a little wear and ageing. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description. The magazine is SUPER CLEAN! An edge tear has been reinforced with clear archival tape on the inside of the front cover. There are two holes along the spine all the way through.

WE SHIP WORLDWIDE except for China, Mexico, Central and South America, Africa and the former Soviet Union due to unreliable mail service. We normally only ship USPS International Priority Mail for International orders due to more reliability of you receiving your item and included insurance. Buyer pays for all shipping costs. In case of damage in the mail - It is imperative that you take your item/items back to your post office with the original packing material/box/envelope and file an INTERNATIONAL DAMAGE REPORT. Then please let me know preferably with pictures about the damage so I can file an insurance claim with USPS.
Refunds & Returns
Due to a change in ebay policy we NO longer accept returns, so PLEASE make sure you want or need the item you are bidding on/buying. There may be exceptions due to mailing error etc. PayPal now keeps their fees when a return happens so we are changing a five percent change for any returns.
Payment
We accept Paypal. Payment is due within FOUR days of the end of the auction please otherwise the auction may be canceled. There may be exceptions due to combining you order etc. with clear communication from you.
Policy
Buyer consents to jurisdiction in Arizona. Arizona shall be the sole forum for any dispute resolution. We reserve the right to cancel any auction where ebay experiences any system failures within 48 hours of the end of the auction.
