Porsche comes back to LeMans in 1986 with the firm intention to take its place back as leader in endurance. The white Porsche car number 180 is one of three cars entered by the German company. It is the endurance version of Porsche 959 of series; a monster in its proportions, but a jewel filled with new technologies which put to the test the physical and technical capacities of the drivers

In spite of a good seventh place in the general classification behind 6 other Porsche this model did not find its public.
