Silicone Oil 100% commercial grade ( This is not petroleum based )
Select from 100ml. 250ml. 500ml. 1Ltr. 2.5 Ltr please note spots are packed SEPARATELY in the boxes spouts are NEVER missed check packaging before assuming it is not there spouts are NOT provided on sizes of 2.5 ltr and above Do not be fooled if anyone states there silicone oil is especially formulated for treadmills. pure silicone is what it is, no black magic, no witchcraft just pure polydimethylsiloxane. Do not be fooled by special applicators! bits of pipe and syringes. you have to slacken your belts to clean the deck before application so you can easily get the bottle in there, bottles have a SPOUT lid for precise application or for easily filling reservoirs on auto lube type treadmills. We have lost count to the number of bottles now sold and we have many returning customers both private and from gyms and training establishments. We don't aim to be the cheapest, we are already that. We aim to supply a quality product at a great price
Most treadmills require frequent lubrication of the running belt / deck. dependant on on make they require one of three lubricant types
Silicone oil
Silicone emulsion
Wax
please check in your hand book or on manufacturers website for this information. there are models that are self lubricating these are the really top end makes/models
The most common type used is "Oil" and this is more common with the domestic models on the market. The oil we supply is 100% silicone oil or otherwise known as (Polydimethylsiloxane) try saying that after a couple of drinks. This oil is also of low viscosity so as to allow better spread between belt and deck.
why lubricate? lack of lubrication can cause excessive wear to both belt and deck due, when in use you are trapping the belt between your feet and the deck, this increases the friction and without proper lubrication places excessive stress on the belt, drive motor and rollers.
It is recommended that once a month dependent on usage! you should clean between the belt and deck to remove built up dirt. Builders wipes are great for this as most makes will remove the old oil as well.Baby wipes also do the job as well as cleaning crayon of the walls. Check the machines instruction for the amount of oil required if in doubt 10ml is about average but don't over do it you simply need a thin film of it on the deck. there is plenty of information on the internet regarding this subject so you should not have a problem.
As an added bonus Silicone Oil has many more uses then this, use it to oil locks it stops them freezing. use it for lubricating small bearings and bushes. for polishing plastics but it makes it slippy! and a lot more uses.
Please note picture is for reference to sizes we do, you will only receive the size you purchase. thank you
