Nolan Miller grew up working in the oil fields of Texas and Louisiana and moved to Los Angeles after graduating from high school. He studied design at the Chouinard Art Institute and, unable to find work in the entertainment industry, took a job in a florist shop. There he met and became friends with an up–and–coming television producer, Aaron Spelling. Starting with The June Allyson Show, Miller and Spelling began a professional association that has lasted more than forty years.

The name Nolan Miller represents the very finest in fashion and glamour. For more than three decades, Nolan Miller's unique and influential designs have appeared in film, theater, and television productions. He has designed clothing for some of the most famous women in the world; some of his best–known creations were seen on the television series Dynasty.
