The Dustjacket has three small pieces of clear tape (not sure why because there are NO tears). There is some very minor edgewear on the top of the spine. Otherwise the Dustjacket is in Very Good condition!
The Book has a white sheet of paper under the dustjacket that is partially glued down to the inside front and inside back covers. Otherwise the Book is in Very Good condition!

The book covers the early fighting between French, British and Provincials around the Great Lakes and the Ohio Valley in the mid~1700s; the War of Independence; and the little~known period which followed, including the War of 1812 and the Mexican War, during which uniforms and insignia developed toward the more familiar styles of the Civil War. Space is devoted to the Spanish~American War; to the American Expeditionary Force of 1917~18; and to the uniforms of World War II and the years since 1945, up to and including Vietnam.
In all there are one hundred full color paintings of soldiers, with every detail of authentic dress and field equipment brought to vivid life by the talented hand of Gerry Embleton.
The text is accompanied by one hundred black and white photographs and engravings, with detailed captions."
