Item description
Set in Norwich, Hectors Wheels follows a remarkable beagle on his adventures with his brother, Reggie. Hector was born with a disabled front leg and was set to go and live his life in a dogs home, until the perfect human family and a very special American wheelchair came along. Now readers follow Hector as he faces the trials and tribulations that his disability brings and overcomes adversity to lead an exceptionally full and active life.
Readers accompany Hector and Reggie on their many escapades, including some near death experiences and rescues. From railway tracks, to irate workmen, to fast-flowing rivers, Reggie and Hector have escaped and survived, often with the help of their rather panicked humans.
In her debut book, Victoria tells a heart-warming tale, which will be enjoyed by animal lovers. Hectors Wheels is based on the adventures of real-life beagles, Hector and Reggie, who are well-known in their local area of Norwich.

About us
In 2002, World of Books was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet, and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into a global pioneer, dedicated to helping people read more and waste less.
Through the World of Books brand, customers can now buy and sell with us! We provide affordable, preloved books to book lovers all around the world, while also giving people the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet by trading in their unwanted books and media for cash.
Through the B2B side of our business we've developed technology to help charities sell in bulk, meaning they can clear much needed floor space and make money for great causes at the same time.
A new book will be sold once but their stories can be enjoyed by more than one owner. After all, a story doesn't change because it's been read before! Our Sustainable Work
We may have grown, but our mission has never changed. We're a circular economy, for-profit company that protects the planet and supports charities by helping people reuse books, DVDs, CDs, games and more! That's why we've been awarded B Corp status - meaning we're a business that meets the highest standard of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. In short, we care about people and the planet!
