Description This item is a very Rare hand carved Wooden Mallet. It has a carved face of a bearded man or Santa Claus on the large end. It is signed Earl Houck USA. Earl passed away on December 28, 2010. He rarely carved faces, concentrating mostly on duck decoys, birds, and other animals. The Mallet measures overall about 10 1/4 inches long. The Handle is about 8 5/8 inches long X 5/8 inch at the end. The carved end measures about 1 1/2 inches across X 3 inches high. The carving is about 2 1/8 inches X 1 3/8 inches. There is a small dark area on the bottom of the carved end (see photo). Otherwise this very RARE, Signed Mallet is in Very Good condition! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This would be nice for any Folk Art, Santa Claus, Earl Houck, or Wooden Mallet Tool Collector! It would be a nice Gift!
