Another Gary Houston classic, a wry reference to the "blasters," also is a great tribute to Mad Magazine's "Spy vs. Spy" strip and its creator, artist Antonio Prohías. Prohias was a Cuban artist who, starting in 1961, parodied the cold war with his two spy characters, one black and one white but otherwise identical as they tried to destroy each other with assorted deadly devices, usually bombs. He died in 1987.
