New-Old-Stock Generic (No Brand Name) Rear Q/R Skewer

Product Description:

This offering is for a new-old-stock generic (i.e., no brand name) rear Q/R skewer. We believe it's a the middle-of-the road skewer offering, but not sure on the vintage (although, they were included with a lot of Suntour components dating back to the late 80's through the early 90's).  No that this is the only indicator of vintage, but the association with other such (and similar) parts is all the date related information I have on them.

All of the skewer's component pieces are made from a chromoly steel and the black plastic/resin cover on the cam (lever) still shows well...while the chromed finish on the acorn nut also (still) shows well. 

The M5 (5 mm) shank measures 159 mm (in length) and includes a 28 mm threaded section, which appears to be a fairly good fit for those rear hubs with 135 mm locknut-to-locknut spacing (although, it would also function fine on rear hubs with 130 mm spacing...with the shank possibly protruding out the back-end of the acorn nut by a few mm's). Lastly, according to our digital postal scale, these skewers weigh 102 grams (just as pictured).

As for condition, these skewers are in nice overall condition. There is some shopwear, but as mentioned above, the end pieces still show fairly well. As a result, the overall condition is still respectable for a bulk-packed item, especially when considering their possible vintage.

We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case.

Note to international customers regarding customs...
We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value).
