This is a superb original ANCIENT GREEK GEOMETRIC TERRACOTTA HORSE, Boeotian, circa 8th Century BC.
This rare ancient terracotta horse measures 5” high, 5 ½”
long, 2 ½” wide and retains traces of original polychrome decoration in shades
of black, white and reddish/brown. It is in good original ancient condition
with a repair at the tail, the front right leg and the rear right leg. It is
mounted on a custom made wood and metal stand for a total height of 7 ½”. PROVENANCE: Southern
