Hints in installing bearings:

1- Never use heat. Heat will change the phase diagram of the metals, effecting the heat treatment and weakens the metal.

2- Make sure the hub or shaft is clean. Any sign of wear will shortens the life of the bearing.

3- Only use proper press in applications.

4- If outer race is pressed into a hub, use the entire outer race surface area for press in.

5- If inner race is pressed into a shaft, use the entire inner race area for press in.
