Details: This is a very interesting book giving the story side of New England meeting-houses (churches) asnd their ministers.

While showing a little wear and spotting the binding is still quite attractive with a gilt, white and black decorative panel on the front and gilt lettering on the cover and spine. The endpapers are nicely decorated as is the Title Page. There are 16 photographic illustrations including the frontispiece. The top of the text-block is trimmed smooth, the fore and bottom edges are untrimmed.

A great book for anyone who loves New England and enjoys reading about the more personal side of its history.

Condition: Ex-library copy with the usual marks, also a former owner's bookplate in the front, the covers have some light spotting and surface wear, the spine is sunned, top edge of text-block has small foxing spots, a few scattered light foxing spots, otherwise in good condition with a very solid binding and generally quite clean pages.
