1878 National Bank of Salem NY Cancelled Check WOW! Here is an Original 1878 National Bank of Salem NY Cancelled Check. This neat 7 3/4” by 2 3/4” check was written by Moses Johnson, a druggist and prominent figure in Salem, NY. It has a 2 cent Internal Revenue Stamp on the upper left. There is a cancellation "V" punched into the check. Moses embossed this check with his stamp over the Revenue stamp. Otherwise this is in great condition.
