Western Electric / Altec 639 Microphone without Yoke Protective Zippered Bag WE639 -1Z

This is a reproduction bag based upon the original leather-like zippered bags that Western Electric, and later Altec produced for the 639 microphone. This listing is for a medium bag for the 639 without the optional mounting yoke. This bag is smaller than the standard bag, and has one zipper to close the bag around the microphone.

The bag is a quality sewn with a bronze colored satin lining, and heavy-duty brass zippers like we use on our RCA ribbon microphone bags. There is a separate listing for a smaller bag for the 639 without the yoke.  The zipper in the final design is an antiqued brass coloring.

The materials are top-quality, and the craftsmanship is excellent. You will love having these bags to protect your 639 microphones and to enhance their display. The photos are of an actual bag.



These bags are a Serenity Sales dba rcamic.com original pattern created for ebay reseller rcamic styled after the bags produced by Western Electric which were not lined. These bags will typically be created using the same cloth and do use the same high quality zipper bags as our RCA cover bags. Each bag is sewn individually in the United States and as such there will be slight variations to each bag. We source fabric -- a bolt at a time so again there will be color variations inherent in the fact we get end runs from fabric manufacturers.

MATERIAL NOTATION: The fabrics used are not cotton, they are made of synthetic materials. The zipper in the prototypes was the bright brass like the RCA bags use.  Our final design has an antique brass styled zipper in the same weight class as the RCA bags.

MANUFACTURE: Components come from various sources in the US but may not be of US origin. All sewing is done individually -- these are produced by piece in the US, not mass produced items.
