A 3 1/2" wide x 1/2" tall opaque PURPLE MILK GLASS antique cosemtic cream pot lid. This is a very blown into mold glass pot lid, dating it back 100 years old or more.
Chesebrough is the same company that invented and put out VASELINE, which was advertised as a medicine when it first came out. This pot lid looks like it was more of a cosmetic cream, yet back then, even cosmetics were often noted for their ability to 'cure' such things as wrinkles, freckles, sunburn, etc. This lid is quite rare, the first and only one we've ever seen, check it out!
