There is a page counting computer chip inside of the drum. When the drum gets to a certain amount it shuts the drum off (Approx. 20,000 pages for mono color. It counts four passes or four pages for each full color). Because there is still plenty of life left in your drum. By putting a new computer chip in there you can be printing again and save almost $100.
Normally you could get more printing out of the drum by install the Reset Chip.
DO NOT replace the chip in a drum that is already showing signs of wear on the print quality.
