the national emblem of Mexico—a golden eagle devouring a snake while
perched on a prickly pear cactus. The other side features, at the center, a
circular representation of the Aztec Sun Stone, depicting Tonatiuh with
a fire mask. On the outer ring, the denomination appears at the top, the mint
year on the left, and the Mint of Mexico mark “Mo” on the right. At the
bottom, the face value is shown in words.
