| Description: |
An antique silver bookmark made from an 1871 Canadian 10 Cent coin from the reign of Queen Victoria. Has a silver hanging loop from which a tassel could be attached. This piece has a maker's mark that I have not been able to identify but I believe it is Canadian. Weighs 4.1 grams. |

Stamped on the front "925 STERLING" and has a diamond containing the letters "GACA" (I assume this is a maker's mark but I have not been able to identify it).

Unknown. Although it is made from an 1871 coin the "925 STERLING" stamp would suggest it is of more modern manufacture. |

Measures 2 3/8" (6 cm) long without the hanging loop and measures 1/2" (1.25 cm) across at the widest point of the flat page marker section. The coin measures 11/16" (1.8 cm) in diameter.

| Condition: |
In fair antique used condition with no splits to the silver but has been used so the flat page marker section, which is quite thin, has multiple bends in and some tiny pock marks, there is also some tarnish towards the bottom. Has fine surface scuff marks to the silver. Please see the photographs. |
