A beautiful late 1800’s French woven silk curtain panel with the softest, most romantic palette — originally a gentle icy blue, now faded over time into a mix of warm neutrals and pale blue tones that give it incredible depth and character. The delicate floral stripe design runs vertically, with tiny rose sprigs and trailing vines woven right into the fabric.
The silk has a lovely soft sheen and a heavy presence ~ this is a substantial textile, fully interlined and backed in cotton, giving it that wonderful weight and drape that only these older curtains have.
The edging is especially special — finished with a decorative woven trim and soft fringe that adds such a beautiful, slightly undone feel.

I was lucky enough to have found two of these and I’m selling them individually. One has trim on the right side, the other on the left. The panel photographed here is the one with the trim on the left-facing side ~ the second panel has the trim on the right. MEASUREMENTS: This curtain measures approximately 121 inches long by 69 inches wide at the bottom and 54 inches wide across the top ~
CONDITION: This lovely textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There is visible wear, uneven fading, and areas of discoloration, along with marks and general age-related use. The silk has softened beautifully over time, and the overall effect is incredibly atmospheric. Please note this piece has never been cleaned and I cannot guarantee how it will respond to cleaning so best to purchase this panel with an understanding that it has never been cleaned and might not be able to be cleaned!~ Please use the zoom feature on the photographs to see the exact condition!~
