Vintage A.C.T. Racing Club Inc. Membership Token - Canberra History

Up for sale is a fantastic piece of local Canberra racing history. This metal membership token was issued by the A.C.T. Racing Club Inc., the precursor to today’s Canberra Racing Club (Thoroughbred Park).

These tokens were historically used for entry into the Members' Enclosure before the transition to modern plastic membership cards.

Design Details:

Obverse: Features "A.C.T. RACING CLUB INC." centered within a classic beaded border.

Reverse: Depicts a high-relief jockey in full gallop, also surrounded by a beaded rim.

Condition:

The token is in good vintage condition with a deep, natural aged patina. The lettering remains crisp, and the jockey motif shows minimal wear, retaining much of its original detail. Please refer to the high-resolution photos for a closer look at the surface and rim.
