An Exhibition Of Uses Of Gourds In Nigeria. Catalogue of an exhibition held in December 1993 by the West African Museums Project Dakar Senegal in collaboration with the National Commission for Museums and Monuments Nigeria.


The exhibition featured the different types of gourds, their sources, the way in which they are carved as well as the different designs and uses for one of Africa’s most commonplace household objects. In addition to articles about the historical and social significance of gourds, the catalogue also features a detailed list of all the objects that were displayed at the exhibition.


Catalogue is in very good condition with former owner’s name written on title page.
