PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

PRE-SERVICE CHECKS:

  1. Verify Transmission Model: Located on transmission ID tag (driver's side of transmission case)

  2. Check Current Fluid Condition: Smell, color, contamination

  3. Inspect for Leaks: Check pan, cooler lines, output seals, electrical connectors

  4. Scan for Codes: Read and document transmission fault codes

  5. Record Adaptation Values: Note current shift adaptations for comparison

DRAIN & REFILL PROCEDURE:

  1. Warm Transmission: Operate vehicle until ATF reaches 30-40°C (86-104°F)

  2. Secure Vehicle: Level surface, parking brake set, wheels chocked

  3. Remove Transmission Pan: Carefully lower pan to drain fluid into approved container

  4. Inspect Old Fluid: Check for metal particles, clutch material, debris

  5. Clean Mating Surfaces: Use brake cleaner and lint-free cloth

  6. Replace Filter: Install new filter with integrated gasket - hand-tighten bolts first

  7. Torque Bolts: 8 Nm (71 in-lb) in criss-cross pattern in 3 stages

  8. Initial Fill: Add 5-6 liters through fill port using fluid pump

  9. Cycle Transmission: Start engine, shift through all gears with brake applied

  10. Final Fill: Add fluid until steady stream from overflow at 35-45°C (95-113°F)
