hand-carved wood sculpture is a piece of folk art by Austin Campbell, an artist from Jamaica Austin Campbell was a self-taught sculptor from St. Mary, Jamaica, who originally trained in cabinetmaking. After moving to Spanish Town, he formalised his artistic training at the Jamaica School of Art (now known as the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts).
