A beautiful original antique Victorian cast iron hall stand / coat and umbrella stand.
This is a heavy, freestanding piece featuring highly decorative scrollwork, multiple coat hooks, and integrated umbrella/stick holders. The craftsmanship and detailing are typical of late 19th to early 20th century design.
The base has a shaped drip tray and ornate feet, and there are circular holders for umbrellas or walking sticks. The piece also retains its original aged patina, giving it an authentic rustic character.
There appears to be a maker’s mark cast into the base (see photos), which adds to its originality and collectability.
Condition: Good solid condition for its age. Structurally sound. Surface rust and wear consistent with age, which could either be preserved for character or restored depending on preference.
Approximate Uses:
• Hallway coat stand • Umbrella / walking stick stand • Decorative statement piece • Shop, pub, or period property display
Collection from Bushey, Herts preferred due to weight, but courier can be arranged at buyer’s cost.
A rare and eye-catching antique piece that would suit both traditional and modern interiors
