About us

There are two senior luthiers who each have more than 20 years of violin making experience in our studio. Master Luo Wenfei is our senior luthier responsible for quality control of all our violins. Master Luo apprenticed under masters Liang Zhiling and Liang Zhenhui for over ten years. After years of study, he worked under well-known French violin master Gao Fanxin to further improve his independent violin crafting skills.

Every year since 2002, he has stocked tone wood dried for at least 8 years. All the wood we presently use was stocked over ten years ago. Master Luo established his own handmade violin studio in 2008 and his good friend, master Deng Nanxia, joined him in 2019. Master Deng Nanxia studied under internationally known violin luthier Zhu Mingjiang for over 10 years, and then under international master Cao Shukun’s violin studio, combining the different master’s making styles and developing as an independent artisan violin maker.

Our studio has 3 very capable apprentices, with us for more than 8 years, 3 varnish masters with over 10 years of experience and 2 experienced sales staff. All our instruments are handmade in our studio. Except for the ones made by Master Luo himself, every production step of the instruments is completed under his supervision. Master Luo personally checks each violin’s sound before it is packaged and shipped.

We guarantee our string instruments are high-quality and 100% hand-made in our studio, produced in limited quantity each year, under Master Luo’s strict quality controls. We have satisfied customers in Hong Kong, Japan, Europe, America, and Australia.
