This Rawlings Mickey Mantle MM8 Personal Model dates to the 1960s and represents one of the more substantial Mantle-endorsed fielder’s gloves from the era. The MM8 is a full-size glove with a deep pocket and classic Mantle-era pattern, and this example presents beautifully with strong stampings and rich, even color throughout the leather.

This glove has undergone a complete restoration including full relacing. The leather was carefully cleaned, stabilized, and conditioned to bring back flexibility and color while preserving the character of the glove. There is visible wear on the heel area which is shown clearly in the photos; this is cosmetic and does not affect the structure, but it is noted for accuracy and transparency.

The glove has been cleaned and stabilized using a conservation-first approach to preserve the original leather and structure. It has not been over-conditioned or altered beyond what was necessary to return it to displayable, usable condition.
