Original Finnish Army M36 WW2 era officer's uniform jacket/tunic. Tailor made as opposed to being army issue, this is a jacket in exceptional quality and badged as an artillery captain. Exceptionally rare!!!
Jacket was made pre- or very early WW2, suitable for Winter War, as seen by the rounded shoulder boards with red artillery trim. This trim was phased out after the Winter War 1939-1940, and the shoulder board shape was changed in 1941.
Features original copper buttons, full silk lining with internal pocket, button closure cuffs, two collar hooks, original collar tabs with original officer rose pips, and brass artillery branch badges.
The jacket is in extremely good condition considering its age, with only some very minor signs of use - a small scuff to the lower left pocket, pin hole from a course badge in the upper right pocket, and minor fraying of the silk lining at the collar.
Jacket is sized for 92cm/36" chest, 57cm/22.5" sleeve, 64cm/25" full length, 37cm/14.5" collar.
Would make an exceptional addition to any militaria fanatic's collection or to a re-enactor.
