Strombergshyttan B936 Glass Vase – Sweden, 1960s – Signed – Sommerso
A beautiful Scandinavian art glass vase by Strömbergshyttan, model B936, dating to the 1960s. This piece features a classic mid-century sommerso design in clear glass and brown, with a clear glass casing encasing a warm brown inner core, creating a striking sense of depth and optical effect.
This vase is slightly unusual, as the top opening is wider than typically seen on examples from the same range, and the overall form is a little straighter than the more commonly found shapes. This particular shape is less common, making it a more interesting and desirable variation.
Hand-blown glass with a polished base and engraved signature.
