Seal up your Performer Series Carburetor to prevent fuel percolation, even when exposed to severe underhood temperatures. The Heat Insulator Gasket (EDL9265) from Edelbrock does just that. Enthusiasts swear by Edelbrock's Gasket as a means to prevent heat soak and to promote cooler fuel delivery.

The Heat Insulator Gasket features an open center for a leak-free seal between open plenum Torker or Victor style manifolds and the carburetor. It's also designed with a square bore shape for proper fitment to the carburetor flange. The Gasket comes complete with extended-length carburetor studs for a hassle-free installation process.

Tech Tips:
- Prior to installation, check air cleaner-to-hood clearance to ensure that additional height of heat insulator gasket will not cause interference. Remove air cleaner and all attachments to the carburetor such as fuel line, throttle linkage, and vacuum lines. Be sure to note the position or tag each piece to facilitate re-installation.
- Remove the carburetor and set it aside, then remove the old base gasket and any additional plates, such as the Edelbrock square-bore adapter (#EDL2732). Remove the short carb studs and install the longer studs.
- Install the Heat Insulator Gasket (#9265) directly against the manifold, then replace the carb and all other connections. Note that gasket #9265 is rigid enough to replace square-bore adapter plate #EDL2732, if required.
