Simplified Installation Steps
Cooling system work involves hot liquids, precision components, and electrical safety. The procedures described below are only a general conceptual guide and are not the exact steps for your specific vehicle. If you do not possess professional automotive repair knowledge and tools, we strongly recommend having the installation performed by a qualified technician.
- Safety First: Ensure the engine is off and completely cool. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove Old Unit: Drain the coolant (collect it properly). Remove the front bumper or related covers if needed. Disconnect the fan power plug and coolant sensor plug. Unbolt and remove the old radiator and fan assembly as a whole.
- Install New Unit: Attach the new cooling fan assembly to the new radiator. Place the combined unit into the engine bay, aligning all mounting points. Tighten all mounting bolts.
- Reconnect & Refill: Reconnect the fan power plug and all sensor plugs. Reinstall the front bumper or covers. Refill with new antifreeze coolant.
- Bleed & Test: Start the engine, turn the heater on, run until normal operating temperature is reached. Check for leaks and ensure the fan cycles on and off automatically.
