The box features a smooth, rounded rectangular form with a rich, warm patina and visible wood grain. The lid is adorned with a circular inlaid brass plaque depicting the traditional Chinese "double happiness" character, surrounded by a key fret border. Matching brass corner guards and hinges protect the edges and secure the lid. The interior is lined with wood, ideal for storing jewelry or small treasures. The box shows minor wear consistent with age and use, making it a fine example of Chinese folk woodcraft.
