Tested and Working

The E-mu Procussion (c. 1991) is a 1U rackmount, 32-voice multi-timbral MIDI sound module specializing in high-quality 16-bit percussion samples from the Emulator III library. It features 4MB of ROM with over 1,000 editable sounds, 128 drum kits (64 user-programmable), and 6 individual outputs, known for its realistic acoustic and electronic drum sounds.

Key Features & Details:
Sound Engine: 16-bit, 39kHz sampling rate based on the E-mu Proteus series architecture.
Flexibility: Allows layering up to four sounds per voice and 24 zones per kit for complex, dynamic performances.

Outputs: 6 individual audio outputs allow for separate processing of drum groups.
Storage: 105 total presets (41 RAM, 64 ROM).
Control: Extensive MIDI implementation, including MIDI velocity to control volume, tuning, and decay.

The unit is favored for its "human feel" and extensive library that covers acoustic kits, Latin percussion, and electronic sounds. While it lacks onboard effects, its deep editing capabilities and multi-out architecture made it a staple for studio producers in the early 90s. A VST version has also been developed, capturing the original 101 presets
