This 18GTL is a very special car, only 6038 miles from new and 2 owners with a nice history file to go with it. Sold new to Mr Catley of Chelmsford by Gurthrie Motors Brentford the car was delivered new on 17th November 1983. Purchased in Relation to a BISFA Gold award the Renault was a spare car and really a celebration purchase and Mr Catley managed a hole 360 miles until its sale by Iconic Auctioneers in 2021 making £7770! Since the sale the cars only other owner Mr Haworth has undertaken a very careful recommissioning to make this wagon fit for the roads again, work such as new tyres, brake items and serviceable components have been changed making this now the best example the car has stood since new. 5500 miles completed and many shows and meetings later the realisation that the old 18 had to go became true making its way to JG Classics. The 18 is truly like a 6 month old car, it looks, drives and feels like it would have in the summer of 1984, A true testament to MT Hanworths recommissioning. All original dealer items are also still present, number plates, window stickers, handbooks, business cards and even the original dealer warranty card. The 18 also has the added bonus of now being MOT and tax exempt making this the ideal head turning classic.
