This is a truly unique and one-of-a-kind piece of NCAA basketball memorabilia. I was a 12-13-14 year old math nerd and basketball player/junkie in 1980-1981-1982 and I would keep the score in a scorer's book as I watched on TV some of the really big games at the time, some college, more pro. I have the 1980-1981 and 1981-1982 NCAA college championship games.
1981 was Indiana and North Carolina with Isaiah Thomas leading IU to victory. The next year NC added a true freshman named Michael Jordan to a solid team and beat Georgetown in an unforgettable game. Some of the pro games I kept score for involved playoff games between Boston, Philadelphia, LA and Phoenix. The lineups are just incredible, as were the games.
With this listing, I am selling a copy of the NCAA 1981 and 1982 National Championship games, made from my scorebook, which is not for sale. The last six photos of my listing show the original score keeping data in my book. You are buying a photocopy of four of the book's pages, not the original anything. The scorebook has nothing to do with the NCAA, or the teams, or being used at the games, etc. It is only a teenage kid's scorebook who kept score while watching the game on TV.
See the photos for condition. Obviously the pencil lead is 45 years old so it's a little faded in areas and I didn't want to mark over it here in 2026 to make it darker. It is in it's original state as it sits in my score book, as I recorded the scoring of the game in real time back in the day. I put the density on the highest level my copier would go, and added a heavy book to press down on the scorebook, in an attempt to get the darkest possible copy.
The papers will be mailed inside a manila folder.
